Paraeducator-Next Step

Description:

The Administration is seeking persons qualified by education and experience to carry out the duties assigned to the position and in general, to establish and maintain a high level of standards of excellence in the Vernon Public Schools. This position is in our Next STEP program. Duties include but are not limited to:

Assisting students with special needs

Assisting the teacher in daily classroom activities

Helping special needs students with personal care, health, and safety

Serve as a job coach in vocational settings

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for the 26-27 school year is per contract, with a competitive benefits package. Health Insurance Information

Step placement is based on educational or previous para experience: Step 1

• 18.69/hr Step 2
• 20.60/hr. Step 3
• 22.

49/hr. Please see the attached contract for details—full-time position, 32.5 hrs/week.
