Job Description

Step into a rewarding role providing critical support to students as a paraprofessional during a summer ESY program. This contract opportunity focuses on helping students at the upper elementary level, offering the chance to make a significant impact during the extended school year.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting. Ability to provide support in either a 1:1 capacity or within a general special education classroom. Positive professional references are required prior to contract offer.
Completion of mandatory trainings:
DCF training, prevention of sexual misconduct against children, and trafficking prevention. (If not previously completed, trainings will be provided during onboarding.) PMT training is a strong plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Core Responsibilities:
Assist with instructional activities under the guidance of a certified teacher. Offer individualized or classroom-based support to students with varying needs. Foster a supportive, safe environment that encourages students academic and social growth. Participate in the orientation on July 6, followed by ESY program dates from July 7 to July 30. Maintain confidentiality and comply with school/district policies and all training requirements.
