Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Exciting contract opportunities are available for skilled professionals interested in supporting students and classrooms as a paraeducator near Waterbury, CT. If you have experience as a paraprofessional and enjoy working closely with educators and supervising the progress of special education students, this position provides a rewarding and impactful environment. As a valued member of the school support staff, you'll work both 1:1 and in group settings alongside lead teachers and supervisors. Responsibilities will focus on actively assisting teachers in the supervision and direct instruction of students as outlined in their Planning and Placement Team (PPT) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) documents. Daily activities may include guidance during academic tasks, fostering social skill development, and supporting classroom structure. There may also be a need to provide assistance with toileting and other personal care routines for designated students.
