Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Paraprofessional focused on social emotional and behavioral needs. This opportunity begins October 1st and is based in a school environment with the potential for assignment extension beyond November 30th. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about working 1:1 with students and fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere. Your schedule will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, providing a balanced workweek with early dismissal midweek.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience as a school-based paraprofessional or in a related support position Skilled in fostering supportive relationships with children who have social emotional or behavioral needs Ability to implement individualized behavioral strategies and collaborate with educational staff Responsive, patient, and dependable in high-energy, dynamic educational settings High school diploma or GED required; additional training in special education or behavioral support is a plus
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct 1:1 support to a student, assisting with classroom participation and daily routines Encourage positive behaviors and model coping strategies Work closely with teachers, support staff, and therapists to implement IEP or behavioral intervention plans Help create a safe, encouraging learning environment tailored to student needs Maintain accurate, confidential documentation related to student progress and incidents Enjoy making a daily difference while working onsite in a supportive school community.
