Job Description

Take the next step in your career supporting students as a dedicated paraprofessional, working one-on-one with a student with social-emotional and behavioral needs. This rewarding contract opportunity runs from October 1st through November 30th, with the potential to be extended. Your work will be onsite, providing consistent hands-on assistance, and collaborating with educational and clinical professionals in a nurturing environment.
Schedule details:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM; Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, allowing for a balanced workweek and time to focus on meaningful student impact.
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional or classroom aide, especially supporting students with behavioral or social-emotional challenges Strong communication skills and a compassionate, calm demeanor Ability to implement behavioral support strategies and follow individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborative approach to working with educators and mental health professionals Familiarity with confidentiality and privacy standards in educational settings Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward making a meaningful difference
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, daily support to an assigned student to foster a positive classroom experience Assist with the implementation of behavior intervention plans and provide redirection as needed Support academic tasks, helping to facilitate focus and engagement Work closely with teachers, clinicians, and support staff to document progress and share observations Maintain a safe, nurturing, and encouraging environment at all times Take on this vital role and experience the satisfaction of helping a student grow and thrive every day.
