Professional Learning Dates:

June 22•June 23, 2026 (required) Position Description Support the delivery of effective differentiated instruction, under the guidance of the general education teacher and special education teacher, by: Plan and execute lessons for small groups and whole group instruction using the provided TR curricular materials. Support the classroom teacher with instruction. Instructional duties and roles will be discussed and mutually agreed upon by the Assistant Teacher and the classroom teacher.

Instructional duties may include:

working with small groups of students, working individually with students, assessing student learning, and assisting with the planning and preparation of classroom lessons and activities. Support of general class instruction for lessons that are led by the classroom teacher. Support our special education inclusion program by meeting the individual needs of students as specified in student IEPs. Support Multilingual Learners using practices and approaches developed by the Multilingual Learners team. Gather resources and prepare materials to ensure strong student engagement in lessons. Assist the lead teacher with tracking, analyzing, and using data to drive teaching and instruction. Implementing supports and consequences, as needed. Responding to student behavior using Responsive Classroom techniques. Follow the schedule as provided by the Summer School Principal.
