Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Soliant is seeking multiple qualified Special Education Teachers for full-time positions supporting elementary students during the 2026-2027 school year . These opportunities are ideal for dedicated special education professionals who are passionate about supporting students with a range of behavioral and educational needs in a structured, self-contained classroom environment.

Student Needs:
Mild to moderate and moderate to severe behavioral needs Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction to elementary students in a self-contained classroom setting. Develop and implement individualized instruction based on student academic, behavioral, and educational needs. Support students with mild to moderate and moderate to severe behavioral needs. Implement classroom routines, behavioral strategies, and individualized supports to promote student success. Develop and monitor IEP goals and maintain appropriate documentation of student progress. Collaborate with paraprofessionals to provide consistent classroom and student support. Work closely with general education teachers, special education staff, administrators, and related service providers. Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries within the school environment. Required Qualifications Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for the state of Delaware. Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred. Experience supporting students with behavioral needs preferred. Ability to work effectively in a self-contained classroom environment . Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week . Preferred Qualifications Previous experience teaching students in grades K-5 . Experience working with students with mild to moderate and/or moderate to severe behavioral needs. Experience working in a self-contained special education classroom. Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring. Experience collaborating with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary school teams. Strong behavioral intervention and classroom management skills.
