Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract role providing dedicated paraprofessional support for elementary students in a vibrant school environment near Wilmington, DE. This opportunity spans from now through June 8, 2027, offering a consistent weekday schedule of 35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Initially, youll collaborate with 2nd and 3rd grade teachers, then seamlessly transition to a K-1 classroom, delivering essential classroom assistance and helping young learners thrive.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit required (must be active; pending applications not acceptedattach DEEDS proof if permit is pending). Previous experience supporting classroom instruction in an elementary setting preferred. Skilled in working with diverse learners and adapting to changing classroom needs. Proactive, adaptable, and committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere for students and staff. Able to pay for the required $85 CBC fingerprinting (please confirm acknowledgment and agreement).
Responsibilities:
Support classroom instruction under teacher guidance for 2nd/3rd grade, transitioning to K-1 as needed. Facilitate daily learning activities, including behavior intervention and instructional reinforcement. Assist students in both group and one-on-one settings, promoting engagement and participation. Contribute to a collaborative classroom culture by supporting both educators and students. Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
