Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in early childhood education by supporting young learners as a Preschool Paraprofessional. This contract position, located near New Castle, DE, is based in a preschool setting providing Behavioral Support Paraprofessional (BSP) assistance. You'll work closely with teachers and other staff members to help create a positive and supportive learning environment for children during their critical early years.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit (must be active and in hand; pending permits will not be considered unless accompanied by a DEEDS portal screenshot) Experience or strong interest in supporting preschool-aged children Willingness to pay for $85 CBC fingerprinting (required prior to hiring) Ability to collaborate within an educational team Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills RBTs are welcome, but supervision for certification is not provided; candidate must seek their own supervision outside school hours if maintaining certification
Position Details:
Contract position onsite at a preschool in Wilmington, Delaware Monday through Friday, totaling 35 hours per week (30 minutes unpaid lunch daily) Immediate start through June 8, 2027 Dedicated to providing behavioral support for young learners in an early childhood setting
