Job Description
Step into a dynamic role providing essential educational support in an engaging elementary school setting. This contract opportunity is designed for a skilled Paraprofessional to make a real impact throughout the school year, working directly onsite to assist students and collaborate with educational staff.
Key Experience and Credentials:
Hold a valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit (pending permits are acceptable, but must include a DEEDS portal screenshot). Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a related school support role is highly desired. Capable of building positive relationships with students, supporting both educational and behavioral growth. Able to pay the required $85 CBC fingerprinting fee. Demonstrated flexibility, reliability, and readiness to adapt within a busy educational environment.Please note:
If holding a Registered Behavior Technician certification, outside BCBA supervision is required.Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver compassionate, hands-on support to elementary students in classroom settings. Implement instructional strategies and individualized accommodations as directed by teaching staff and administrators. Foster a safe, inclusive learning atmosphere that welcomes diversity and encourages student growth. Collaborate with teachers to assist with lesson preparation, class management, and targeted interventions. Document observations and student progress, adhering to school and district protocols.
