Join the Twinkle Little Stars Early Education Center team as a Toddler Assistant Teacher in one of our small classroom settings! We're looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic individual who enjoys working with young children and wants to be part of a supportive early childhood team. As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside the Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 1-2. You'll help toddlers learn through play, build independence, develop new skills, and feel safe and supported throughout their day. This is a great opportunity for someone with child care experience or someone looking to continue growing their career in early childhood education. What You'll Do Assist with supervising and engaging children throughout daily activities, playtime, meals, transitions, and rest periods Support the Lead Teacher with age-appropriate learning activities that encourage language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development Create positive and nurturing interactions that help children feel safe, valued, and confident Assist with diapering, feeding, and other daily caregiving routines Use positive guidance and age-appropriate behavior management strategies Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and engaging classroom Prepare classroom materials and assist with learning activities Communicate professionally and positively with families and team members Follow center policies, health and safety procedures, and Delaware child care licensing requirements Participate in required training and professional development Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other members of the classroom team What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Genuinely enjoys working with toddlers Is patient, nurturing, dependable, and energetic Works well as part of a team Communicates effectively with children, families, and coworkers Is willing to learn and grow as an early childhood educator Can maintain a positive attitude in a busy classroom environment Understands the importance of consistency, routines, and attentive supervision Previous experience working with young children in a child care center, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar setting is preferred.
