About us Lifespan Academy, LLC is a small private school in Belleview, FL. Our mission is to provide unique, quality, and evidence-based education services to students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. We serve a wide range of exceptionalities with an emphasis on the use of positive reinforcement to shape socially appropriate behaviors. We seek to grow and evolve with our students, developing additional services as they are needed. Individualized Service Plans are developed based on each student's needs providing enrichment, accommodations, and modifications to materials as needed. Through individualized and data driven interventions, we strive for our students to reach the highest possible level of independence. Employment hours are 7:30am to 2:15pm during the school year.

Duties:
  • Assist the special education teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
  • Provide support and assistance to students with special needs in a classroom setting.
  • Help students develop literacy and math skills through targeted interventions and activities.
  • Collaborate with the teacher to develop and modify curriculum materials to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
  • Assist with behavior management strategies and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Support students during transitions between activities and locations within the school.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and educational strategies for students with special needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the growth and development of students with special needs.
