Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a 3-year-old teacher assistant to join our amazing team. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development in preschool-aged children. We're a small, faith-based preschool where teachers are supported, families are valued, and children are known and loved. Duties Assist lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social skills activities Support classroom management efforts by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking Help with classroom setup, cleanup, and material preparation for various educational activities Collaborate with teacher to monitor individual student progress and provide tailored support as needed Foster effective communication with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive educational experience Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred DCF 45 hours (preferred) Strong classroom management skills and the ability to assist in behavior management strategies Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues A genuine passion for teaching young children and supporting their growth through engaging activities and supportive interactions If you're passionate about early childhood education and want to make a difference in the lives of young children everyday, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
