A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Help maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming classroom environment. Support children with homework and age-appropriate academic activities. Participate in games, arts and crafts, STEM activities, outdoor play, and group projects. Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, confidence, and respect. Assist with classroom organization, cleaning, and daily routines. Build positive relationships with children and staff. Communicate appropriately with parents and team members regarding children's daily activities. Follow all Florida licensing regulations, safety procedures, and company policies. Provide support wherever needed within the afterschool program. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Florida 45-Hour DCF Child Care Training completed. Authorized to work in the United States. Professional English communication skills. Reliable, patient, energetic, and dependable. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Passion for working with children and supporting their development. Preferred Qualifications Previous childcare, teaching, tutoring, camp, recreation, or youth program experience. At least one (1) year of experience working with school-age children ages 5-11. Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. CPR/First Aid Certification.
