This position involves working closely with teachers and other educational staff to provide tailored support to enhance student learning and development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and compassion for the special needs community. Duties Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Support students in their academic tasks, including helping with math concepts and classroom assignments. Facilitate communication between students and educators, ensuring that all students understand instructions and classroom expectations. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and engagement among students. Collaborate with teachers to adapt materials and resources for students, including those with specific needs such as deaf education. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual student performance and challenges. Foster a supportive environment that encourages social interaction and emotional development among preschool-aged children. Requirements Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or developmental delays. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Familiarity with lesson planning techniques that accommodate diverse learning styles. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff. Experience or training in behavior management strategies is preferred. Previous experience in a preschool or classroom setting is advantageous.
