Join our dedicated team at SoundSide Montessori Academy, a thriving community serving children from 18 months to 6 years old. We seek an Assistant Toddler Teacher who brings warmth, professionalism, and an understanding of Montessori philosophy to our Toddler environment. This part-time, year-round position offers the opportunity to work in a prepared environment where young children can flourish.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in a toddler classroom with children aged 18 months to 3 years, implementing an authentic Montessori curriculum Maintain a peaceful, orderly, and nurturing environment that supports the developmental needs of toddlers Collaborate with the lead teacher and guide them in Montessori best practices Support and uphold the school's mission, values, and community culture Responsibilities Support teaching staff to ensure effective classroom management and delivery of educational programs. Assist in implementing curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners, including those with special education requirements, Facilitate communication between staff, parents, and the community to promote a collaborative educational environment. Provide support to teachers in managing classroom dynamics and addressing any behavioral issues. Organize physical education activities that promote health, fitness, and teamwork among students. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe learning environment for all students. Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Montessori Toddler classroom, prefreed. Strong understanding of child development and Montessori pedagogy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
