Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, particularly those with special needs, and will assist in implementing lesson plans and managing classroom activities. This role is essential in providing individualized support to students, ensuring their academic and social development. Responsibilities Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. Support students with special education needs, including those with autism and other disabilities, in their daily learning activities. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management strategies. Help with literacy and math education by providing one-on-one or small group instruction as needed. Engage in curriculum development alongside educators to enhance learning experiences. Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teachers regarding student performance and behavior. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the holistic development of each child. Experience Previous experience working with children, particularly in special education settings or daycare environments. Familiarity with early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and classroom management techniques. Experience in lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management is highly desirable. Background in Montessori or preschool education is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members. A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all learners, including those with disabilities or special needs.
