Job Summary We are part Christian preschool seeking a dedicated and energetic VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning! This part time paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of preschool children, preparing them for future academic achievement. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional development activities Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and positive learning environment for preschool students Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, physical, and emotional development Help with classroom routines such as circle time, snack time, and outdoor play. periods Collaborate effectively with teachers to monitor student progress and communicate developmental milestones or concerns Maintain open communication with the teacher, maintaining a positive attitude and a willingness to follow instructions and guidelines in accordance with the goals of Precious Promises Preschool Requirements Must be of Christian faith Must be at least 18 years of age, have clearance from state law enforcement agencies, completing a level 2 background screening, providing an Attestation of Good Moral Character Prior experience working with preschool children in an educational or childcare setting is highly preferred Complete the State of Florida Child Care Training and Early literacy requirements with in 120 days of employment. Display knowledge and understanding of early childhood developmental levels of the age group with whom you are working Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team in a private school environment Passion for early childhood education and fostering positive learning experiences
