Preschool Cook / Floater Teacher (Assistant Coverage)

We are hiring a reliable and energetic Preschool Cook / Floater Teacher to join our team! This hybrid role combines two important responsibilities: preparing nutritious meals for our preschoolers and providing classroom coverage so our teachers can take their breaks.

What You'll Do:

Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks exactly according to the approved Child Care Food Program (CCFP) menu Portion meals properly for young children and follow all food safety, storage, and sanitation guidelines Maintain a clean kitchen and comply with all health department and licensing regulations Provide classroom coverage as a floater — step into different classrooms to give teachers their needed breaks while actively supervising children and keeping them safe and engaged Be flexible and ready to support various age groups throughout the day Work closely with the teaching team and follow direction from the

Director Requirements:

Valid Food Handler Card (Food Card) — required Experience preparing meals in a school, daycare, or similar setting — preferred Familiarity with CCFP guidelines — a plus Passion for working with young children and a positive, patient attitude Reliable, flexible, and detail-oriented Ability to be on your feet most of the day and lift up to 40 lbs Must pass background check and meet all state childcare licensing requirements

Schedule:
