Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Afternoon Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support classroom activities during the afternoon hours, fostering a positive and nurturing environment for young learners. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on early childhood education, including literacy, math, and social skills development Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and applying behavior management strategies in accordance with educational policies Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and daily activities to foster strong home-school connections Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences and support individual student needs Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that complies with educational regulations and health standards Collaborate with teaching staff to develop inclusive strategies for students with disabilities or special needs, including those on the autism spectrum Skills Experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings, including classroom experience in private or public schools Strong understanding of childhood development principles and educational compliance standards such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Knowledge of special education practices, behavior management techniques, and classroom behavior management strategies Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with children, parents, and team members Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies to support learning activities First aid and CPR certification to ensure child safety in emergency situations Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable Proven skills in mentoring, proofreading educational materials, and supporting teacher collaboration Join us as an Afternoon Assistant Teacher where your passion for education meets your desire to inspire young minds!
