A qualified Teacher or Teacher Assistant for an Early Childhood classroom will: have or be working on the 45-hour childcare certificate or CDA (FCCPC) have at least 1 year of experience be a team player, who is collaborative, inclusive, and has a growth mindset enjoy being around children, be warm, and want to see them succeed be on time and prompt, organized, and be able to meet deadlines be able to take direction able to plan engaging lessons that incorporate early literacy education and math skills, science, social studies, sensory, physical activity, and social-emotional learning communicate well with students, colleagues, administration, and parents create a predictable classroom routine and manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques to create a safe and nurturing environment change diapers and potty train have high expectations of students and help them to reach those expectations be of high moral character and be a role model for students implement creative, age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with educational standards and promote academic and holistic child development Beacon Hill Preparatory School, Miami Campus, sits on 5 beautiful acres in the heart of Miami Gardens. Celebrating its 68th year, Beacon Hill Preparatory School serves students 1- year old through 8th grade and is an institution in the community.
