Miami Children's Museum Early Childhood Institute is looking for a dependable and flexible Preschool Floater to support our classrooms and help create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment for our youngest learners! From assisting teachers with classroom activities to engaging children in our museum galleries, each day offers something new! Responsibilities Step in for lead teachers when needed to ensure continuity of care and learning Support classroom activities, projects, and daily routines Engage with children and support their social, emotional, and developmental growth Assist teachers with classroom management and provide additional guidance to students Help facilitate educational activities and experiences within the museum's gallery spaces Assist with family-style dining, including meal distribution and classroom logistics Help create a positive and enjoyable mealtime experience for students Maintain clean, safe, and organized classrooms and learning spaces Collaborate with teachers and staff to support classroom needs and enhance the overall learning experience Follow all school policies and procedures related to health, safety, and student supervision Assist with other duties as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or completion of 45 DCF training hours Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or similar setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to engage effectively with children, families, and staff Flexibility and willingness to support different classrooms, activities, and environments Patience, enthusiasm, dependability, and a positive attitude CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification Ability to successfully complete a Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, and a drug screening Apply today and help us inspire children to learn, imagine, create, and grow!
