04/22/2026 Good Shepherd Catholic School in southwest Miami has an opening for a qualified, full-time Elementary Teacher Assistant for the coming 2026-27 school year. The applicant must be attentive, diligent, nurturing, creative and a dedicated professional with the ability to support the learning environment, cultivate critical thinking skills, and work collaboratively as part of a team. The candidate performs all duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on education and years of experience.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a high school diploma or associated degree; Bachelor's degree preferred. Excellent classroom management skills, helping to maintain a safe and nurturing environment. Ability to assist the teacher with small groups, yard duty, and other duties pertaining to a teacher aide. Ability to work as a team member with a variety of students, parents, and staff. Experience with Apple and educational technology a plus. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus. Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice. Good spelling and grammar are required. Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred. Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church. Must have a professional demeanor.
