The Teaching Assistant is charged with supporting the Instructor in the training and preparation of students to work in the digital animation and visual effects industry. As this industry is very competitive and requires a highly skilled work force, the Teaching Assistant must aid the Instructor in maintaining high standards of performance within the class.
Minimum Requirements:
Proficiency with one of more software packages utilized by the school Strong and demonstrated aptitude for instruction Strong interpersonal skills Self-motivated and creative
Responsibilities:
Providing feedback on curriculum effectiveness Providing input into the curriculum revision process as necessary Classroom Tutoring students following lectures on software, theory, history, technique, and aesthetics Supervision of students' lab work Project and deadline monitoring and assistance Grade recordkeeping assistance Daily attendance recording and reporting Assisting with classroom control and student discipline Fostering a classroom environment that is productive and positive Student progress monitoring Monitoring potential problems as evidenced by poor attendance, lack of progress or failure to benefit from the program; and reporting them to the Instructor Offering critiques and opinions as appropriate Attending guest speaker in-service lectures Why Join Northbridge University?
