Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Assistant Teacher/Floater/Support Personnel to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. You will support classroom activities, assist lead teachers, and ensure that every student receives the attention and care they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, lesson planning, and instructional support across various subjects including literacy, math, and social skills. Support classroom management by implementing behavior management strategies and maintaining a positive learning environment. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Collaborate with teachers to adapt instructional materials for students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom events to foster strong home-school connections. Requirements Prior experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and classroom behavior strategies. Familiarity with special education practices, literacy education, math instruction, and early childhood education principles. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or must be obtained upon hire. Understanding of educational compliance standards such as ESSA and familiarity with regulations related to working with individuals with disabilities or autism. Strong organizational skills including proofreading, mentoring abilities, and experience collaborating with teachers. Available to attend every day scheduled, with a work ethic that supports the teachers Experience working in private school environments or with diverse student populations is a plus. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
