Role:
Parkland Children's Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Floater/Teacher Assistant to join our team in Parkland, FL! Responsibilities:
Float between classrooms to provide support to lead teachers and maintain proper student-to-teacher ratios Assist in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities for early childhood learners Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and transitions Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding children's progress and needs Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and learning spaces
Requirements:
Prior experience in a childcare, early childhood education, or classroom setting preferred Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively across multiple classrooms and age groups Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff Must meet Florida DCF childcare background screening requirements CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Patient, dependable, and passionate about working with young children
