  • Job Summary:
  • We are looking for an Instructional Aide to support teachers and students in an exceptional education school focusing on primary grades. The Instructional Aide will play a vital role in assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support, and creating an inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Responsibilities:
  • 1.
Collaborate with teachers to implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of primary grade students with a variety of learning challenges. 2. Provide individualized assistance to students to reinforce learning concepts and skills. 3. Foster a positive and nurturing environment that encourages the growth and development of each student. 4. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning space by monitoring student behavior and addressing any challenges. 5. Support students with special needs by following and implementing tailored educational plans. 6. Assist in classroom organization, setup, and materials preparation. 7. Engage in positive communication with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive support system for student success.
  • Qualifications:
  • 1.
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or related field is a plus. 2. Experience working with children, specifically in primary grades or special education, is highly valued. 3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents. 4. Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. 5. Ability to follow instructions, collaborate with educators, and contribute to the educational goals of the classroom. 6. Willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of students with special needs in a primary grade setting. 7. Basic computer skills for tasks such as documentation, communication, and classroom support.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Capable of standing, sitting, and moving around the classroom for extended periods.
Lift and transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Assist students with physical needs as necessary to facilitate an inclusive learning environment. Must pass a Level II background screening.
