In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and social-emotional development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in early childhood education. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons that incorporate literacy, math, and social skills development. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies aligned with educational regulations. Supervise children during activities, free play, meals, and outdoor time to ensure safety and engagement. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that complies with educational standards and safety protocols. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behaviors, and milestones to foster strong home-school partnerships. Use educational technologies such as computers and interactive tools to enhance learning experiences. Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt instructional methods for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or requiring additional support. Skills Experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings, including classroom experience and behavior management skills. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education strategies, and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) regulations. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Ability to supervise children safely while demonstrating patience and nurturing care. Familiarity with classroom behavior management techniques and educational compliance standards. Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies to support instruction. First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during emergencies. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly valued.
