Support speech therapy, behavioral therapy, and other specialized interventions by assisting licensed professionals during sessions. Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Use learning technology tools and educational software to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Collaborate closely with other educators, therapists, families, and support staff to coordinate services and provide holistic support for students. Assist in behavior management strategies tailored for students with special needs, including those with autism or childhood developmental delays. Requirements Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities in classroom or childcare settings is highly preferred. Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills. Experience working with students with autism, developmental disabilities, or in early childhood education settings such as preschool or daycare is advantageous. Familiarity with applied behavioral analysis (ABA), and early intervention practices. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to support student success. Relevant certifications or training in special education, speech therapy assistance, behavior management for students with special needs, or related fields are a plus.
