Job Description
Little Disciples Preschool is seeking a warm, self-motivated, and dependable Assistant Teache. We are a faith-based, educationally-centered preschool dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn each day. Our ideal candidate is a meticulous, eager to help, and able to handle multitasking well. We are looking for someone who will bring their kindness, eagerness, and helpfulness to enhance our hardworking and dedicated team. To be considered, you must be confident and comfortable working with children ages 12 months - 5 years. We are hiring for this part time position, whether you are looking for 1 day a week, 5 days a week, or anything in between. Responsibilities Assist Lead Teachers within their classrooms. Assist in keeping our preschool clean and orderly while following DCF Regulations Support children's social-emotional growth through positive guidance and encouragement. Assist with keeping our students clean, happy, and healthy Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and administration to provide exceptional care and education. Integrate Christian values through daily interactions, modeling kindness, respect, and compassion. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills. Completed 40 hours of DCF training and classroom experience is a plus. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and special education practices. Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare is highly valued. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Qualifications Experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred. DCF training requirements completed or willingness to complete upon hire.
