  • ESE to assist certified personnel in achieving instructional goals through participation in curricular activities and supervision of students with special needs.
STARTING SALARY

Based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees: Grade 18 $16.68 p/h (HS Diploma and ParaPro min score 457 or 60 hrscollege credit in core curriculum) Grade 19 $17.06 p/h (AA / AS or higher)

QUALIFICATIONS PARAPROFESSIONAL I
(GRADE 18):
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED

• High School diploma or equivalent required. • Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher. • Experience working with children. • A Head Start Preschool assistant teacher must meet at least one of the these criteria: • Hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (preschool level); • Possess a State-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds CDA requirements; • Be enrolled in a program leading to an associate or bachelor’s degree; • Be enrolled in a CDA credential program, with the expectation of completion within 2 years of hire.

PREFERRED/DESIRED

PARAPROFESSIONAL II (GRADE 19)

EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED

• Associate's degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required. • Experience working with children.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
