Classroom Teaching Full Job Description Job Summary:
St. John Paul II Preschool is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher, and a Teacher Assistant to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment to encourage the development and education of preschoolers. Our program focuses on using an open ended philosophy and Creative Curriculum to encourage learning through play and process verses product ensuring each child receives age-appropriate materials, experiences, and interactions with peers and teachers. The teacher must be living a Christian lifestyle and ok with bringing faith concepts into the classroom.Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the thematic curriculum to promote growth.
- Provide a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive well being of each child.
- Conduct process verses product activities that promote creativity, exploration, and curiosity and experiences in young learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress to identify areas for improvement or additional support.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and fellow educators to ensure the holistic development of each child.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and developmental milestones.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred.
- Ability to educate and engage young students effectively through curiosity/open ended approach and learning through play
- Experience working with children with diverse learning needs or special education backgrounds is a plus.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques tailored for preschool-aged children.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is desirable.
- Desired hours are 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday Through Friday.
Job Type:
Part Time (3:00 to 6:00 Monday- Friday, more hours are possible if wanted)
Pay:
$16- $18per hour Expected hours: 15
