In this dynamic role (focussing on socail studies and science), you will collaborate closely with certified teachers to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help young learners develop essential skills in literacy, math, and social-emotional growth while ensuring their safety and well-being. Duties Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and classroom activities aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies. Support individual and small group instruction to reinforce learning objectives and accommodate diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities or special education requirements. Manage classroom behavior by implementing effective behavior management strategies to create a respectful and productive environment. Help supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities to ensure safety and engagement. Support classroom organization by preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and maintaining a clean, inviting space conducive to active learning. Collaborate with teachers on curriculum development and adapt instructional methods to meet the developmental needs of early childhood learners. Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and specialists to support student progress and address individual needs. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or elementary schools is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and behavior management techniques. Experience supporting students with special needs, including those with autism or disabilities, is advantageous. Familiarity with curriculum development in literacy education, math instruction, Montessori or preschool teaching methods is a plus. Strong communication skills coupled with technical proficiency in educational tools or classroom technology are essential for success.
