Job Description

Position Summary:

) We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our 3/4's classroom team. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, dependable, and skilled in supporting both children and co-workers in a positive learning environment. This individual should have strong classroom management abilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday 8AM to 4
PM Start Date:
TBD Responsibilities:
Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities. Assist in maintaining a safe, organized, and nurturing classroom environment. Use positive behavior guidance and effective communication to support children's social and emotional growth. Help monitor children's progress and development, providing input to the teaching team as needed. Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members. Maintain compliance with all DCF and center policies and procedures. Contribute to a team-oriented environment where cooperation and professionalism are valued.
Qualifications:
DCF 45-Hour Training (Required) CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential (Preferred) Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a preschool or early childhood classroom. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Reliable, professional, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team. Passionate about supporting young children's learning and development.
