Job Description
We are a child psychology office that assists children with educational, social, and emotional needs in a clinical homeschool setting. The academic/behavioral facilitator plays a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment for students with learning disabilities. This position involves assisting teachers and implementing curriculum per teacher guidance. You would collaborate with other educators and support staff to create a cohesive learning experience. Duties Initiate interactions with children Provide support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment Lead small recreational/supportive technology groups (Art, Technology, Park, etc) Incorporate therapy recommendations into daily routine under supervision of educator Use developmentally appropriate practices Assist teacher in implementing curriculum Assist teacher in implementing support of Education Plan Requirements Associate's degree or higher Experience and passion for working with children Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to initiate interactions and create a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth Compassionate and understanding approach when working with diverse learners
