Teacher Assistant Tutor Zone Weston Weston, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 - $20 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Overview Tutor Zone is seeking a dependable, caring, and motivated Teacher Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, has prior classroom experience, and is passionate about helping students succeed in a structured, positive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow with a small, expanding school. There is potential for increased responsibilities and advancement into a Lead Teacher position as the school continues to grow. Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-3:00 PM or 10:00 AM-6:00 PM Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom instruction. Support students in grades K-8 with academic activities. Help maintain a structured, positive classroom environment. Assist with classroom management and behavior support. Prepare instructional materials and organize the classroom. Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and other activities. Communicate professionally with staff and families when needed. Perform other classroom-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience working with children in a school, tutoring, preschool, or similar educational setting. Strong classroom management skills. Comfortable assisting with K-8 curriculum and learning activities. Patient, dependable, and professional. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Requirements Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Must be able to pass a drug screening. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or coursework in education is preferred but not required. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain). Compensation $15-$20 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.
