Infant Assistant Teacher

Job Description

Duties:
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans for preschool-aged children
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Provide individualized attention and support to each child's unique needs
  • Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress
  • Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a preschool or daycare setting
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
  • Ability to create engaging and educational lesson plans
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Skills:
  • First aid certification (CPR)
  • Experience caring for infants and young children
  • Previous experience in nannying or childcare roles
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques
  • Familiarity with preschool curriculum and teaching methods
  • Understanding of childhood development milestones
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively, including maintaining discipline and promoting positive behavior
  • Knowledge of special education practices and accommodations for children with special needs Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
