The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys working with preschool-aged children, and is committed to creating a positive, engaging learning environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the Georgia Pre-K curriculum. Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing classroom environment. Supervise children during classroom activities, playground time, meals, and transitions. Assist with classroom management and positive behavior guidance. Help prepare and organize learning materials and classroom activities. Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records as required. Communicate professionally with families and staff members. Follow all Bright from the Start (DECAL) licensing regulations and center policies.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED required. CDA, TCC, Associate Degree, Paraprofessional certificate or Bachelor Degree is required. Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check. CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
