Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Pre-Kindergarten Assistant Teacher! In this dynamic role, you will support classroom activities, foster a nurturing learning environment, and assist lead teachers in delivering engaging educational experiences for young children. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote literacy, math, social skills, and overall development aligned with early childhood education standards. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized environment conducive to learning. Engage with children through play-based activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and social interaction. Provide individualized attention to children, including toddlers and students with special needs or disabilities such as autism or other developmental challenges. Help prepare classroom materials and educational resources for lessons in areas like literacy education, math, and Montessori methods. Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and document observations related to childhood development and behavior management. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about daily activities, progress updates, and any concerns regarding their child's well-being or learning needs. Skills Proven experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, private school settings, or similar educational environments. Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with special education practices, including working with individuals with autism or disabilities. Ability to assist in lesson planning across core subjects such as literacy education and math while supporting curriculum standards like Montessori or preschool teaching methods. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and team members. Technical proficiency in using educational tools or classroom management software is preferred. Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working with children of diverse backgrounds and needs.
