We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with young children and can help us maintain a safe, loving, clean, and educational environment .

In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers in creating an engaging, inclusive, and nurturing environment for students with diverse learning needs. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive behaviors, facilitate individualized learning experiences, and promote the overall development of each student. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while gaining valuable experience in education and special needs support. Header Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood education principles. Support students with disabilities, including those with autism spectrum disorders and behavioral disorders, by providing physical assistance and behavioral management strategies. Use communication skills such as American Sign Language to facilitate effective interaction with students who have communication challenges. Help create a supportive classroom environment by managing behavior, encouraging positive interactions, and supporting social-emotional development. Collaborate with other professionals—such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and special educators—to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs). Support classroom activities that promote childhood development and Montessori or other educational methodologies. Handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining a respectful and safe learning environment for all students. Header Experience Prior experience working with children in early childhood education or childcare settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience supporting students with disabilities, including those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies for students with special needs. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy or math instruction is advantageous. Experience working within private school environments or special education classrooms is a plus. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential for collaborating effectively with team members and supporting student success. Ability to handle physical assistance requirements for students with disabilities while ensuring safety and comfort for all involved. Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week
