Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requirements Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and maintaining a safe, organized environment Supervise children during activities, transitions, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being Engage children in educational activities focused on literacy, math, science, arts, and social skills to promote holistic development Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and classroom experiences to foster strong partnerships Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences and support individualized instruction Assist with classroom setup, material preparation, and maintaining compliance with educational regulations and safety standards Collaborate with teachers during planning sessions to develop effective teaching strategies tailored to diverse learners, including those with disabilities or autism Support behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional growth Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to childhood development, classroom behavior management, and educational best practices Experience Prior experience working with young children in preschool or early childhood education settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience applying them in classroom environments Familiarity with special education practices, including supporting students with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Experience managing classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners Proficiency with educational technologies and computers used for teaching purposes Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire to ensure child safety at all times Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and support staff Understanding of educational compliance standards such as the ESSA regulations and state licensing requirements Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where every child feels valued and empowered!
