Child Care Assistant Teacher - Evening hours Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our team during evening hours. In this role, you will support the care and development of young children in a nurturing environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, ensuring children's safety, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have experience working in daycare settings, hold current First Aid and CPR certifications, and be committed to creating a safe and engaging environment for children. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily routines and educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and other activities to ensure safety and well-being Support children in developing social skills, independence, and positive behavior Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations Respond promptly and effectively to children's needs, providing comfort and reassurance as necessary Follow all safety protocols including First Aid and CPR procedures when required Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns Support team members in maintaining a positive, inclusive atmosphere within the daycare center Experience Prior experience working in a daycare or childcare setting is preferred Certification in First Aid and CPR is required Familiarity with early childhood development principles is advantageous Ability to work evening hours consistently and reliably Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards children and colleagues This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early development while working in a supportive team environment.
