Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Bilingual Gaprek Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for young learners. Your bilingual skills will help bridge communication gaps, ensuring that children with diverse language backgrounds receive the best educational support possible. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development. Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment. Communicate effectively with children using both languages to promote bilingual development and ensure understanding of instructions and activities. Provide individualized attention and support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Help facilitate classroom activities that promote childhood development, including Montessori or other educational approaches as applicable. Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress, document observations, and adapt instructional strategies accordingly. Assist with daily childcare routines such as meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools. Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (e.g., Spanish) to support effective communication with diverse learners and families. Experience working with children who have special needs or disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Familiarity with lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management strategies. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and team members. Technical proficiency in educational tools or software relevant to early childhood teaching is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work patiently and compassionately with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
