9676526-30815 Job Description Support students at a school near Hephzibah, GA, by stepping into a vital contract paraprofessional role. This position is ideal for an experienced paraprofessional or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who thrives in a one-on-one, self-contained setting, guiding students during their morning learning block from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. each school day. If you have a background in special education support and are passionate about making an impact during those key hours, your skills are needed to help create a structured, encouraging classroom environment.
What Were Looking For:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional or RBT, preferably within a school or similar setting Familiarity with 1:1 student support, especially in self-contained classrooms Strong communication skills with students, staff, and teachers Patience, adaptability, and a caring approach to diverse learner needs Ability to promptly follow directions and classroom plans from certified educators A collaborative mindset for effective teamwork Relevant certifications or credentials, if applicable (such as RBT, or paraprofessional certification)
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with a designated student in a self-contained classroom during morning hours Assist in implementing behavioral and academic support strategies Follow individualized education or behavior intervention plans Facilitate classroom tasks, help with organization, and encourage student independence where possible Communicate progress and concerns to classroom teachers and support staff This opportunity provides a meaningful way to support students who need it most during their early-day studies.
