Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Daycare Assistant Teacher (Floater) to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This role is designed for a flexible, compassionate individual who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating space for young children. Working primarily from 10 AM to 5 PM, you will support classroom activities, assist with child supervision, and ensure that each child's developmental needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various classrooms, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist lead teachers with implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Support children with daily routines such as meal times, diapering or toileting, nap times, and transitions between activities Engage children in play-based learning experiences that foster creativity, curiosity, and developmental growth Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to build trust and partnership Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of distress or injury and documenting incidents accurately Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood settings Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific behavior management techniques First aid and pediatric CPR certification to ensure immediate response in emergencies Strong classroom management skills coupled with patience and adaptability Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and support staff Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork Familiarity with special education needs and experience supporting children with disabilities is a plus Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Child supervision skills with an emphasis on creating a nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Join us in shaping bright futures!
