Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Part-Time Preschool Assistant Teacher! In this dynamic role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional development, and ensure that every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to explore their world. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on children's early development while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Support classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and smooth transitions throughout the day. Supervise children during activities, free play, meals, and outdoor time to ensure safety and engagement. Help with classroom organization, including setting up learning materials and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and daily experiences to foster strong home-school connections. Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop individualized support plans for children with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in classroom or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom behavior management strategies. Familiarity with special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and support staff. $13.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
