Location Armstrong Campus•Savannah, GA Department Information Department of Mathematical Science Job Summary The Student Assistant will support the Department of Mathematical Science as a Teaching Assistant on the Armstrong Campus beginning Fall 2026. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities Meets weekly with assigned professor for calculus I or II course to plan student-led class period Leads 55-minute calculus recitation session Reports back to professor with attendance and minor grading of quizzes as requested by professor Shift Specifics Up to 6 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education Successful completion of

MATH 1441

(Calculus I) and

MATH 2242
