Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and development. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social skills. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions to ensure safety at all times. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and applying behavior management techniques. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative learning environment. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom that complies with educational regulations and safety standards. Use educational technologies such as computers and interactive tools to enhance learning experiences. Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education, and inclusive practices. Requirements Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development principles and classroom behavior management strategies. Familiarity with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) standards and educational compliance regulations. Strong communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration. Ability to supervise children attentively while maintaining a safe environment. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively and effectively.
