About the Role We're looking for a compassionate, hands-on Therapy Assistant (Caregivers and Direct Support Professionals are encouraged to apply) to support a friendly, developmentally delayed young adult in a private home therapy setting. You'll help implement physical and occupational therapy activities, stretching programs, and daily care routines — while making a real difference every day. What You'll Do Assist with therapy, stretching, mobility, and walking exercises under guidance Provide daily personal care and hands-on support Engage in fun, purposeful activities that encourage participation and independence Help maintain a structured, positive home environment Who You Are Caring, patient, and genuinely enjoy working with young adults or children with special needs Dependable, upbeat, and a self-starter who learns quickly Comfortable providing hands-on physical assistance and personal care Reliable and committed — you've shown stability in past roles (typically a year or longer in each position) Live near or have reliable transportation to Waleska, GA (near Canton, GA) Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position that requires frequently getting down to and up from the floor for therapy and activities and safely assisting a 95-lb individual with walking, balance, positioning, and transfers. You must be able to safely and reliably perform these job duties.
