Educational Assistants

Immediate openings are on an emergency basis of employment, could be determined to be full time contract on 10 month basis. Provides assistance to professional educators, counselors, social workers, and others by performing a variety of instruction-related and/or counseling or guidance support tasks; and performs other support services as assigned. Included in the service of keeping the campus safe. Immediate employment Kihei Charter School is looking for excellent Education Assistants, in all subjects, grades to complement our quality workforce of educators. PBL and STEM education a plus. Innovative educators and EA's are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to manage a class of students and make learning an easy and meaningful process. The goal is to help cultivate the students' interest in education, student centered, project based and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development. EA Responsibilities Support students and teachers/facilitators in the delivery of the KCS experience as directed by leadership. Provide support for teachers and students in field-based activities such as PE, Science/STEM education, online learning and to assist in maintaining safe environments. Serve as the front line substitute teacher when the teacher is not available. Provide support services to students in the classroom. Conduct themselves in a professional manner Supervision of students daily in grades K-12 Skills Team player Able to communicate well with administrators, teachers and students in a positive manner Ability to be flexible Positive attitude

Education:

Bachelor's degree (Preferred), CPR and health related experience helpful
